Who I am

I am a professional freelance cartoon illustrator/graphic artist and web-designer based near Southampton, England with over 20 years experience in commercial illustration and graphics.

I work in a wide range of styles, from bold and colourful hand-drawn cartoon and comic-book style illustration to graphical logo design for a variety of uses, from print to web and multimedia ...and all to individual client requirements and most importantly, deadline.

Clients include JS Sainsburys Ltd, Southampton University, British Gas, Ehrmanns Wine and Nutmeg Mills Licensed Character Sportswear .

In addition, I also undertake private commissioned work including caricature, and provide freelance commercial web design and Flash animation services for a number of companies.

Background

Despite attending art college and graduating in Fine Art, my childhood interest in cartoons and comic-books eventually drew me back to what I love best after winning a magazine competition and attending the London Cartoon Centre.

In the late 1980's I set up my small business producing and supplying freelance commercial illustration to local graphics and advertising agencies in addition to working on private commissions for clients.

By the mid 1990's I as working full time with most of my workload producing numerous comic-book style illustrations for Nutmeg Mills licensed sportswear. This continued for 2 years followed by another 3 years supplying hundreds of cartoons for use in training CD ROMs for Fullard Multimedia. 

Around 1996 I also expanded into web design/graphics and later, Flash animation and continue to supply  sub-contacted web services designing, building and maintaining  websites and producing web-graphics for clients from small businesses to large companies.
